October

Jada enjoyed celebrating her 2nd birthday. She got a ton of great gifts, thank you all!

Her love of horses went beyond waving at them from the car and feeding them treats to actually riding one!

Jada dressed up as Belle. She is talking so much it is neat to hear her refer to herself as a Princess :)

Moo! Happy Halloween! Jada wasn't sure about her costume until she saw others dressed up. (my mom helped over my shoulder but I made her costume) She loved Halloween this

year, we trick or treated for almost 2 hours.

We started tumbling at the YMCA. Sarah went with us to help, it was so much fun! I can only imagine the stunts she gonna try at home:)

With about 4 weeks until sis/bro is here we are busy getting ready. Al and his mom painted the nursery grey and turquoise (I am planning on adding pink or orange once we know the sex). My mom and I are sewing black and white bedding. When I ask Jada if she wants a brother or a sister she says "no", but if I ask if she wants a baby she says "yes 2!" I guess we will see how she feels once the baby is here.

Summer

From riding in Grandma's convertible to making mud pies we had a great summer!

Jada took Red Cross swimming lessons at Harmon Park the first week of August. Although she was one of the youngest in the group the teacher was very impressed with how comfortable she was in the water. She didn't want to go under water but was more than willing to go down the Hurricane slide with her dad (this scared mom a bit)!

We took Dubs to the Centennial Puppy Plunge mid August. He loves the water as much as Jada!

Jada had her first haircut at the end of August. I had been putting this off not wanting to cut her "baby hair" but it had to be done. Since then she has told everyone she got a haircut. She was out in the rain the other day and was disturbed that her haircut was getting rained on :) It was very cute.

Sarah decided to run cross country for school this year, as much as Jada likes to be outside this is a good sport to watch. She loved the sandpits at the Centura Golf Course!

With Fall approaching we were glad to get a chance to run thru the sprinkler one more time.

To keep busy this Fall Jada is taking a Kindermusik class at Yandas and starting November a Tumbling class at the YMCA.

Friends and Family :)

Sorry it has been so long since my last post. Here's a short summary of whats been going on the past couple of months...

In April we found out we are expecting, so the first week of December lil' baby Byrn number 2 will arrive. We have decided to have the sex be a surprise! Although Jada doesn't fully understand we believe she will be a great big sister.

At the end of June we took our first big family vacation! We spent 9 days in Charlotte NC visiting Tiff, Preston and Roy (1yr. old Basset Hound). It was Jada's first plane ride. She had her face pressed against the window checking out the scenery, then settled into her seat and watched movies, it was great! We went to Carowinds park, where we played in the water park then rode the carousel. We ate a ton of great food, painted pottery, shopped, checked out downtown and just hung out. It was a great trip!

We spent some time at Johnsons Lake for the 4th of July and enjoyed the neighborhood fireworks.

Last week we took Jada to the Lincoln Children's Zoo.

Lots of Love

June & July

So much has happened since our last blog...hmm where to begin.

Jada's Great Great Grandma Stella celebrated her 95th birthday and we were lucky enough to take a 5 generation picture.

My parents were the co-chairs of the Nebraska Cattleman's Ball this year. http://www.cattlemensball.com/
The goal was to raise $1 million for health care research, the numbers aren't out yet but fingers crossed they more than achieved the goal! We had so much fun! We went to both Friday and Saturdays events including dinner(s), drinks, auctions and a Randy Travis concert!

After months and months of searching we finally found a house! YAY! We close August 2nd, but with the planned updates we won't move in right away. It is in a great neighborhood and a good school district, I am happy to say Jada will go to Park school just like I did :)

Alan had a relaxing first Fathers Day, lil Jada went out of her way to make it extra special!

My cousin Kristin got married July 3rd on the family farm. It was a beautiful wedding! It was so nice to get most of the family together. Tiffany and Preston made it for the festivities:) And Aunt Rochelle was able to photograph the wedding and meet Jada for the first time.
The 4th of July was filled with visiting both families at the lake then we headed back to Kearney and lit off some big fireworks at my parents. Jada was a poser and took some really sweet pictures in her 4th of July bathing suit.....
Jada is 9 months old! WOW! We can feel her first tooth coming in. She has mastered crawling and is using anything she can to stand up. One of her favorite things to do is crawling up the stairs as fast as she can. She started saying "hi dada" about a week ago....obviously this was heart breaking to me, but Al loved it. This week she is saying "momma" :)
