June & July

So much has happened since our last blog...hmm where to begin.

Jada's Great Great Grandma Stella celebrated her 95th birthday and we were lucky enough to take a 5 generation picture.

My parents were the co-chairs of the Nebraska Cattleman's Ball this year. http://www.cattlemensball.com/
The goal was to raise $1 million for health care research, the numbers aren't out yet but fingers crossed they more than achieved the goal! We had so much fun! We went to both Friday and Saturdays events including dinner(s), drinks, auctions and a Randy Travis concert!

After months and months of searching we finally found a house! YAY! We close August 2nd, but with the planned updates we won't move in right away. It is in a great neighborhood and a good school district, I am happy to say Jada will go to Park school just like I did :)

Alan had a relaxing first Fathers Day, lil Jada went out of her way to make it extra special!

My cousin Kristin got married July 3rd on the family farm. It was a beautiful wedding! It was so nice to get most of the family together. Tiffany and Preston made it for the festivities:) And Aunt Rochelle was able to photograph the wedding and meet Jada for the first time.
The 4th of July was filled with visiting both families at the lake then we headed back to Kearney and lit off some big fireworks at my parents. Jada was a poser and took some really sweet pictures in her 4th of July bathing suit.....
Jada is 9 months old! WOW! We can feel her first tooth coming in. She has mastered crawling and is using anything she can to stand up. One of her favorite things to do is crawling up the stairs as fast as she can. She started saying "hi dada" about a week ago....obviously this was heart breaking to me, but Al loved it. This week she is saying "momma" :)

Hello Strangers!
Sorry it has been so long since our last blog but things have been sooo crazy! With so much of our family to help the move went pretty well. We are still searching for a home of our own and staying with my folks. It is so nice having friends and family close!

Right before the move Aunt Tiffany came to stay with us for a couple days. It was so nice to have her visit one last time in Denver. We watched some baseball, she taught me how to make homemade salsa, we took Dubs to the dog park and drank some wine. Good times! Her and Preston just bought a house in NC we can't wait to take a family trip to see them.

Our first weekend back was crazy with unpacking, the next with a golf tourney, then Blair NE for cousin Keith's graduation, and then my first Mothers Day! So busy! While in Blair Jada got to meet her Great Aunts and her cousins, she is sooo loved :)
Jada is changing so much everyday! She is eating so many new foods! Avocado, mango, sweet potato, squash, peas, green beans, yogurt and her new favorite juice from a sippy cup! Just last night she starting "army crawling" all over the house, in the cat food then over to the dog food...WOW!

Once we get our home computer set up I will download some videos of lil Jada scooting about.

March

So much has happened since my last blog....hmmm where to begin? I guess I will start with the most exciting thing. We listed our house on March 10th accepted an offer on the 17 and close on April 16th!! Yahoo! We are really excited about moving home but we are going to miss so much about Colorado. We got our first "real" jobs here, got Tina (our frog), Dublin and had lil Jada here :) Al is keeping his job with ECT and I am working part time with Genesis so we are both feeling very fortunate. With jobs, memories, family and friends we will visit often! We have been searching for a home in Kearney but have not made any offers yet so with all our stuff being stored at the Byrns we will stay at my parents house for a while.
The Byrns came to visit the last weekend of Feb. and we celebrated GPA Bobs birthday with wings and beer at one of Als fav BBQ places. Ryan ventured down the mountain to see everyone for the afternoon. Once we listed the house my mom came and got Jada, Dubs and I and we spent almost 2 weeks in Kearney. Dubs had so much fun! Even though it was snowy and freezing he thought he needed to go swimming in the pond...silly dog! Anne and I started calling him the supreme stank monster! I looked at houses, played with friends and just enjoyed some good ole quality family time. Jada enjoyed going to Sarah's volleyball and basketball games, baths with her aunts, her new room at Grandma and Grandpas and lots of new toys & clothes!

Again sorry the video is sideways! Maybe I should have the computer nerd Alan help me next time :)

The next couple of weeks will be filled with packing, but Al plans to attend opening day for the Rockies and Aunt Tiffany will be spending a couple days here over her spring break. I suppose my next blog will be from Kearney!

February

Hello Blog Followers!
Jada is changing so much everyday! It's amazing how determined she is! She is a very happy baby, smiling at everyone! We had a wonderful Valentines day, we went out to lunch and took some cute pictures of her in her 2 outfits.

Jada has started eating food! It is soooo fun feeding her. She eats (using the term loosely) cereal and bananas so far.

Great Auntie Paula has been trying to come visit on a weekly basis, but with the crazy Colorado weather it ends up being more like every other week or once a month. Jada and I really enjoy her company!

Al and I are busy trying to get the house on the market. We bought all new SS Kitchen appliances today, its stinks buying stuff like that for other people but hopefully the house sells fast. GG and Gpa Bob are planning a trip to see us next weekend, hope the weather cooperates. Maybe Funcle Ryan will stop by?
Jada and I are planning a trip to Kearney soon....

January

We have been very busy trying to get the house ready to put on the market. We moved most of our storage stuff to Kearney, painted in and out, remodeled 2 bathrooms and only have a couple minor things to do before the deep cleaning begins! Jada and I spent a week in Kearney and looked at 8 houses....nothing seemed quite right though. We had so much fun playing with friends and family! The aunts loved giving her baths and enjoyed reading and playing with her. Grandma O was glad they had school so she could play too! GG got out Al's old bib but Jada's not quite sure she wants be a cowgirl :)
We were very sad to leave...weep....weep

Jada is growing so fast! She started rolling over a couple weeks ago and is now trying really hard to crawl! Fingers crossed I don't have to baby proof this house :) She is discovering new things everyday. She likes to play with daddy's beard and loves to pet Dubs and Angel.

I added a video at the bottom, try to enjoy it even though it's sideways!

Merry Christmas

We finished our Christmas shopping just in time to leave a day early to beat the storm that was headed to Kearney. Al managed to hit the outdoor mall with us one day and he carried Jada in her front carrier the whole time. Sooo cute!

The drive to Kearney was cramped but Jada did surprisingly well only waking up to eat in North Platte, I was worried about how our first night at Grandpa and Grandmas would go but she slept the whole night.

We had a wonderful Christmas! Jada got to meet her Great Great Grandma Stella, Grandpa Bob and lots of other family members. Unfortunately due to the bad weather she was unable to meet her family members from Blair :( hopefully we can all get together soon though.

Aunt Tiffy flew in late and we had a late Christmas with her where she wore these silly pink jammies! If Jada is scared of bunnies we will know why! Ha Ha! It was so nice to get to see everyone.

Not only did Grandma O. get to give Jada her a good night bottle she even got to have Jada spend the night for the first time! Grandpa, Grandma, Sarah, Anne, Jada, Dublin and Cassie (my parents dog) all shared a room that night (should have got a pic of that). It was hard for me to leave but it was nice to have a night on the town and see most of my friends.

Well 2009 was a fabulous year! Al, myself, Jada, Angel, Dubs and Tina (our frog) all hope to be Kearney soon!
